20-hour Gentle Yoga Teacher Training

Gentle doesn't mean easy

Anyone who loves Gentle Yoga will tell you it's not easy. And when it comes to teaching this increasingly popular style, there's a lot to consider and manage simultaneously.

Gentle Yoga is a mindful practice that falls somewhere between a Level 1 and Restorative class. By incorporating active work to build strength and mobility, simple breath and meditation practices, while also carving out ample time and space to rest deeply in comfortably supported restorative poses, this holistic yet practical approach offers a satisfying balance to students of all stages of life and levels of fitness.

ABout the Training

This dynamic and experiential training will empower you to create both Active Gentle and Restorative Gentle practices (for yourself and your students!). With a balance of discussion, experiential work, and practice teaching your fellow trainees, you'll come away from this weekend feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and empowered to share what you've learned.

Active Gentle is a great approach when your students are game for more of a challenge. It's a delicate balance knowing how to incorporate stronger work into a practice while still keeping it Gentle.


Restorative Gentle practice sequences entirely floor-based poses, while still cultivating soft strength and balanced mobility. Too easily a Restorative Gentle class can become wishy-washy and feel one-dimensional. Learn tips, and tricks for keeping students engaged and alert, while promoting a state of deep inner calm and introspection.

 

You'll also learn and experience accessible ways to incorporate breath work and brief meditation techniques into a gentle practice. 

 

Break free from your routine and learn a new approach to practice that your students (and your own body) will love! This training will provide you with a new specialty that will make you more versatile as a teacher, while also enhancing and refining your teaching of other styles. And perhaps most importantly, you will come away feeling inspired to apply a gentler approach in your own practice and life - because it's essential to walk the walk as a teacher!

Continuing Ed HOURS

This workshop is open to yoga teachers, yoga teachers-in-training, and dedicated practitioners. This workshop is also eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards. See YogaAlliance.org for more information. All hours are contact hours.

 

Attendance Policies

A Certificate of Completion for the 20-hour Gentle Yoga Teacher Training is available to participants who complete Modules 1 and 2 (Module 1 is a pre-requisite for Module 2). To be eligible for the certificate, participants must attend all training hours and complete all homework assignments.

 

Tuition for 20 hr Gentle Yoga Teacher Training

$450, or $400 if paid in full by May 25th early payment deadline
